Teacher from a school in Keynsham

A mum was contacted by our school to say that there was a hamper waiting for her; she is often donated a hamper at Christmas from a local organisation but this year they didn’t have the funds to do it.

This is what this mum relies on at Christmas so she sadly wasn’t expecting one from anyone else -

When she collected the hamper from OCH she cried and went and sat in the car and cried again; she said she felt like “someone was watching over her”. Apparently a few days before receiving the hamper she had said to her daughter how much she loved after eight chocolates and how she was going to buy herself a box as her main Christmas gift to herself as that would be her only gift. She went to buy some but couldn’t afford them so put them back on the shelf. 🥲

Lo and behold in her hamper was not one box of after eights but two. 🥰

Whoever packed two boxes of them in the hamper - how did you know? ❤️😀

One child received a pair of Stitch socks, as one of their gifts, which is her favourite character and she wore the socks for three days on the bounce and didn’t want to take them off!

The hampers and gifts touched everyone deeply.

After eight chocolates and a pair of Disney socks have brought the most joy.
